Here's what I saw: treetops, majestic buildings, snow-capped hills in the distance, blue patches of sky. Everything was marvelously still. Unmoving.

Except one bird.

I saw the black form of a crow, in fluid motion, swooping in a graceful arc.

The motion and energy of the bird was subtle, but powerful. It made me think: "I noticed this beautiful creature-in-motion because all else was motionless." If I had opened these blinds in the middle of a bustling, windy day, with branches swaying, people running, buses driving, and clouds whizzing across the sky, I may have never noticed this bird--or the lesson it held for me. Even if other things were moving, the grace of this bird would have been present... ready for me to notice at any time... if I simply chose to see it.

Consider this: Maybe we can stop almost all of the world in our minds whenever we want to, so that we can notice just one particular, beautiful thing in motion.

Try to notice the next time that something in motion catches your eye. Does it hold a lesson for you?

Each time we choose to do this, we become free and graceful... like the bird.

Silence

In silence, everything is possible.

Inspiration

When we truly tune in to the smallest details around us, we open a pathway to a personal wisdom that lies deep within us.
